Phrases!!!!

Just an ordinary day in "Typography". . .

1. "Ya'll need Jesus"
2. "My fuuuuzzzzzball"
3. "It's like Arnold S. trying to do a drunk Bill Cosby"
4. "Anyone want some gum?"
   ( "Yummmm"
    "It has Jesus")
5. "But what if we work in a Church?"

To any other person, these phrases may seem a bit strange and out of place.  However, I am very used to hearing things like this on a daily basis.  My fellow students and friends have the most interesting and entertaining conversations one could possibly imagine.  These phrases are one upside to any school day.

Documentary Photos

My Grandpa: He just retired after 50 years of owning his own business.  He's a very successful engineer and business man and I think it would be interesting to learn about how he came from a poor family and worked his way up to the top.

My friend Nicole recently became the head baker a Gigi's Cupcakes in Granger.  She had been going to school to become a baker and has always been interested in baking.  When someone asked if she wanted the job, all her dreams came true.  She loves working at Gigi's and I think it would be really interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes of the bakery.

This is Pasquale and Mary-Lou Rulli.  they are the owners of the restaurant I have worked at for the past 5 and a half years (and counting).  Pasquale came her at the age of 18 from Italy with a few of his family members.  He had several small jobs working for other businesses before he got into the restaurant business.  He worked for a family friend making pizzas and now he has his own restaurant.  I think it he would be a good topic so we can see what it was like for an immigrant to start a completely new life in unfamiliar territory.

Brainstorm Idea #3

Music Video: Ke$ha!!!!
When I think music video, I think crazy fun.  I want it to be like a party and the best "party" videos are done by Ke$ha.  Lots of people, loads of fun, dancing, singing, neons and black lights, and (my favorite) GLITTER EXPLOSIONS!!!!!!!  But seriously, I think it would be a blast to do and everyone would enjoy it.  Life is a party, so live it up!

Brainstorm Idea #2

(Partially) Animated Short: A Child's Imagination
I think it would be really awesome to combine elements of real footage and animation.  The viewer would see the short film as if he were a child playing in hid room and looking out his window at the world and imagining something that couldn't really happen in the real world.  It's the fun part of being a child- imagination can take you anywhere you want to go and it can show you whatever you want to see.  In these images, the drawing is what the child would see; it would be the animated part of the short.

Brainstorm Idea #1

Silent Film: 1920's Gangster.
So I want to do a black and white silent film (to capture the essence of the first films) about the consequences of double crossing a gangster like Al Capone in the 1920's. I love the historical events, clothing, and language of the early 1900's and I think it would be really fun and exciting to make a movie on this time period. It would absolutely be cheesy and totally cliché to make it more of a fun film.
